Central Youth Union visits and gives gifts to flood-affected areas in Ha Thanh commune (Tu Ky)

Comrade Nguyen Minh Triet, Secretary of the Central Youth Union, President of the Vietnam Student Association led a working delegation to visit and present gifts to flood-affected areas in Ha Thanh commune.

The delegation visited and encouraged two families in difficult circumstances who suffered heavy losses from storm No. 3. They were the family of Mr. Bui Van Dai (Huu Chung village) raising 3 young children who were going to school, whose house had a collapsed corrugated iron roof, damaged fish cages, and the family of Mr. Nguyen Van Lan (Tri Le village) raising children alone, with unstable jobs, and whose house had its roof blown off. The delegation presented each family with 10 million VND and necessary necessities.

The delegation also supported 5 families in difficulty in Tri Le village whose fish cages were sunk, whose houses had their roofs blown off, were dilapidated, and had to be relocated and temporarily housed due to the impact of storm No. 3. Each family received 3 million VND and gifts.

The delegation visited, encouraged and presented gifts to two youth volunteer teams and armed forces, and commune officials who supported the construction and reinforcement of the dike.

On this occasion, the Central Youth Union, the Vietnam Student Association, and sponsors donated 300 million VND, 200 boxes of sausages, and 200 kg of Cloramin B to Hai Duong province to support children and people in overcoming the consequences of storms and floods, with a total value of more than 400 million VND. The money and gifts will be distributed by the Provincial Youth Union to localities.
