On January 17 in Hanoi , Doan Thi Diem Secondary School celebrated its 20th anniversary and received the Second Class Labor Medal.

At the ceremony, Ms. Vo Thi Anh Xuan, Vice President of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam, First Vice President of the Central Emulation and Reward Council, on behalf of the Party and State, attended and congratulated the Board of Directors, staff, teachers and more than 3,400 students of the school. Also attending the ceremony were Prof. Dr. Nguyen Thi Doan - former Vice President of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam, President of the Vietnam Association for Promoting Education; Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Dac Vinh - Chairman of the National Assembly's Committee on Culture and Education; Mr. Pham Ngoc Thuong - Deputy Minister of Education and Training ; Ms. Vu Thu Ha - Vice Chairman of the Hanoi People's Committee and representatives of Hanoi's Departments, Committees and Branches.

Doan Thi Diem Secondary School is part of the Doan Thi Diem Primary, Secondary and High School system in Hanoi, established on May 19, 2005. After 20 years of development, the school has grown steadily and become a bright spot in the capital's education sector with outstanding training quality.

Looking back on the journey of two decades of continuous efforts, the Board of Directors of Doan Thi Diem Secondary School happily shared: “Since its establishment, the school has had thousands of students winning high prizes in cultural, artistic, and sports competitions at the city, national, and international levels. For many consecutive years, the school has had excellent students achieving the title of valedictorian in entrance exams to prestigious specialized high schools in Hanoi, along with hundreds of other students receiving scholarships and high rankings in these exams.”

The recognition of all levels and sectors with many noble titles and certificates of merit is a great pride of the school. In particular, on the occasion of the 20th anniversary of its establishment, Doan Thi Diem Secondary School was honored to receive the noble award: Second Class Labor Medal from the President of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam.

Speaking at the ceremony, Deputy Minister of Education and Training Pham Ngoc Thuong highly appreciated the proud achievements of teachers and students of Doan Thi Diem Secondary School over the past 20 years. What the school has achieved is proof of the school's right direction in comprehensive education, focusing on promoting the creativity and thinking ability of each student.

The Deputy Minister affirmed that in the coming years, the education sector will face high demands, high requirements for pioneering, innovation and quality assurance as top priorities. Doan Thi Diem Secondary School needs to continue to promote its achievements, continue to improve management, improve the quality of teachers who love their jobs, are good at their profession, are dynamic and creative, continue to innovate teaching and learning methods, develop sustainably, and be steadfast with the goal of educating the capital.

To the students, Deputy Minister Pham Ngoc Thuong also encouraged the spirit of solidarity, good implementation of Uncle Ho's 5 teachings, focusing on cultivating compassion, self-study methods, worthy of the 20-year tradition of the School. In the coming time, together with the Capital Education sector, the School needs to continue to be united and determined to complete the cause of education and training innovation, completing the goal of creating human resources for building and defending the Fatherland in the era of national development.

At the 20th anniversary celebration with the theme “Symphony No. 20”, the school’s board of directors, staff, teachers and more than 3,400 students looked back at the memorable milestones that have created the Doan Thi Diem Secondary School brand today.
