Dong Hai Secondary School calls for support for Do Huu Dong, a student with a serious illness.

Do Huu Dong, a student of class 8B6, Dong Hai Secondary School (Dong Hai ward), comes from a poor family, has a serious illness, and needs a large amount of money for treatment.

Do Huu Dong has Japanese encephalitis and is being treated at the Central Tropical Hospital.

On the afternoon of September 14, Dong Hai Secondary School (Dong Hai Ward, Hai Phong ) announced that the school is launching a fundraising campaign, calling for the help of teachers, parents, philanthropists and the community to support Do Huu Dong (born in 2012), a student of class 8B6, who is in serious condition and needs a large amount of money for treatment.

Dong comes from a difficult family situation. His father is a worker and his mother works at Hai Phong Urban Environment Company.

Dong is being treated as an inpatient at the Emergency Department of the Central Tropical Hospital with a diagnosis of Japanese encephalitis, sepsis, non-specific pneumonia and acute respiratory failure. As of September 10, 2025, the total cost of treatment is nearly 700 million VND. Ms. Luu Thi Hoa (Dong's mother) said that currently, Health Insurance supports about 200 million VND, the cost outside of insurance (external medicine, special services), the family must pay by themselves, on average about 16 million VND/day.

Faced with this difficult situation, the Board of Directors of Dong Hai Secondary School calls for the community's attention, sharing, and support so that the family can have more conditions to take care of Dong, quickly overcome the illness, and return to continue studying.
