Lao Cai High School for the Gifted won 13 Gold medals at the 18th Hung Vuong Summer Camp.

Participating in the Summer Camp, Lao Cai High School for the Gifted had 60 students attending the Summer Camp in 10 subjects: Math, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Informatics, Literature, History, Geography, English, Chinese. The result was 56/60 contestants won medals, including 13 Gold medals, 30 Silver medals, 13 Bronze medals. With this result, Lao Cai High School for the Gifted ranked 4th in terms of total number of Gold medals achieved.

The 18th Hung Vuong Summer Camp had the participation of over 1,100 candidates from 19 specialized high schools, high schools in the Viet Bac highland region in the midland and mountainous areas of the North and 5 schools as observers.
