Identifying that registering traceability for products is the responsibility of the enterprise, in order to create transparency in production, since starting to produce bird's nest products until now, Ms. To Thi My Phuong, owner of the bird's nest business at Nhu Y farm (Tuy Hoa ward) has spent a lot of time on this work. Ms. Phuong shared: Currently, the products of the facility have all been registered with codes and barcodes for traceability. Through traceability, customers can update information on each product, watch videos of the entire production, packaging, and preservation process, etc. This helps customers to see the correct quality and feel more secure and confident in the facility's products.
Representatives of units and enterprises discussed with experts of the National Code - Barcode Center about product traceability. |
Sharing the same view, Ms. Nguyen Thi Son Hai, owner of Sunsea Food (Son Hoa commune) said that each facility has its own secret in the product processing process to create a difference, and publicly tracing the origin is a way to promote its products. "I often participate in registration programs, instructions on how to trace the origin, but because I don't have much experience, I always learn more ways to do it, need the support of experts and authorities to be able to select information, implement effectively on platforms and meet the regulations and strict control requirements on traceability", Ms. Hai said.
According to business representatives, production facilities and traceability are important steps in the product processing process before reaching consumers. However, businesses want customers to recognize and evaluate the quality of products that are invested in and produced transparently and publicly. And the role of state management agencies in controlling and combating counterfeit goods... needs to be implemented more thoroughly to eliminate fraudulent businesses and poor quality goods; thereby helping businesses and production facilities that are transparent and meet quality standards to have a "place to live" in the market and reach a large number of customers.
Ms. Le Thi Cuc (Buon Ma Thuot Ward) expressed: Nowadays, technology and smart phones with many features can help consumers access and check product information through barcodes and traceability codes. If all products are attached with traceability codes, we will avoid buying fake, counterfeit, and poor quality products to protect the rights and health of ourselves and our loved ones.

As new regulations on traceability and product standardization are increasingly tightened, businesses, cooperatives, production and trading households must proactively update and apply technology to integrate more deeply into the global supply chain. Mr. Nguyen Hai Trieu, Deputy Director of Department of Industry and Trade |
Sharing issues related to traceability of products and goods at the training session on traceability and application of artificial intelligence in state management and business activities organized by the Department of Industry and Trade, Mr. Bui Ba Chinh, Acting Director of the National Code and Barcode Center, informed: According to Decision No. 100/QD-TTg of the Prime Minister on approving the Project on Deployment, Application and Management of the Traceability System, the goal of all traceability systems is to have connections to share data, so that state management agencies, businesses and people can use them together. Currently, the assignment of codes and barcodes for traceability is carried out according to the barcode registration procedure carried out by the Ministry of Science and Technology. Traceability activities are being encouraged by the Government and its management agencies to use them towards transparency of information, product supply chains, towards a transparent market of information on quality, as well as factors of conformity declaration and the entire chain of origin of goods.
Mr. Bui Ba Chinh added: In principle, the way to use codes and barcodes for traceability will not change over time, only the data fields and new information of products and goods will change; improve, supplement information, and apply appropriately; therefore, businesses must proactively implement and regularly update product information..., helping to promote products more effectively.
According to Mr. Nguyen Hai Trieu, Deputy Director of the Department of Industry and Trade, in addition to labeling goods, products with registered traceability are increasingly being implemented by many businesses and production facilities in the area. In the context of digital transformation taking place strongly around the world, product traceability not only helps improve the effectiveness of state management but is also the key for businesses to improve their competitiveness, meeting the increasingly high requirements of the domestic and international markets.
