In Vietnam, this word became popular in Vietnam through the hit song "This song is so chill" by singer Min and rapper Den Vau in 2019.

Since then, "Chill" has become a popular word in the everyday language of Vietnamese youth, meaning relaxation, enjoying a gentle, stress-free life.
