Following the success of national-scale concerts:

To commemorate the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day on September 2nd, Hanoi became an artistic hub in August and early September alone, with nearly 10 national-scale concerts and art programs held at various venues throughout the city, attracting 20,000 to 50,000 spectators each night.

These programs not only create a vibrant and emotionally rich atmosphere, but also bring about breakthroughs in cultural and artistic development, aiming to establish the brand "Vietnamese Spiritual Festival".

A Hanoi bursting with music and national pride.

In recent days, Hanoi has truly "exploded" with numerous national-scale art programs. A highlight of this series of events was the political and cultural art program "Homeland in My Heart," organized by the Nhan Dan Newspaper in collaboration with the Hanoi People's Committee on the evening of August 10th at the My Dinh National Stadium, attracting 50,000 spectators. The program recreated the glorious historical milestones of the country over the past 80 years through revolutionary songs praising the homeland. Particularly noteworthy was the flag-raising ceremony, with tens of thousands of people wearing red shirts with yellow stars singing "Tien Quan Ca" (Marching Song) – the national anthem – creating a wave of emotion among the public.

At the same time, on August 9th and 10th, Vietnam Television organized two major programs, “V Concert - Radiant Vietnam” and “V Fest - Brilliant Youth,” at the National Exhibition Center, attracting tens of thousands of viewers. Also at this location, on the evening of August 23rd, Vingroup Corporation joined forces with the program “8 Wonder: Moments of Wonder,” featuring many international and Vietnamese stars, attracting 50,000 viewers.

Earlier, on August 17th, the Central Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Department organized the "Proud to be Vietnamese" program at My Dinh National Stadium, with over 30,000 spectators joining in a proud and united atmosphere.

The city of Hanoi hosted two distinctive programs: "Hanoi - From the historic autumn of 1945" at the August Revolution Square on the evening of August 15th and "Hanoi - The Everlasting Aspiration of Vietnam" on the night of August 31st at the National Exhibition Center, featuring music, lighting, 3D mapping performances, and paragliding, all blended with dazzling fireworks.

The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism also offered the public two major programs completely free of charge: the "Vietnam in My Heart" concert at the National Exhibition Center on August 26th and the special art program "80 Years of the Journey of Independence - Freedom - Happiness" on the evening of September 1st at My Dinh National Stadium.

On the evening of September 6th, at the Thang Long Imperial Citadel historical site, the Central Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Department continued to bring audiences a grand event with the "Rock Concert - Heart of Vietnam," featuring many famous bands performing revolutionary songs and patriotic songs in a youthful and powerful way.

Towards building a "Vietnamese spiritual festival"

Over a month, nearly 10 major concerts, with hundreds of thousands of attendees, created an unprecedented artistic spectacle in Hanoi and Vietnam. After each performance, social media platforms were flooded with positive feedback about the program. Journalist Le Quoc Minh, Editor-in-Chief of Nhan Dan Newspaper – the organizer of the political and artistic program “Homeland in My Heart” – shared: “This is not just an art program, but also a symphony of patriotism, connecting heroic memories with a dynamic present and aspirations for the future.”

Associate Professor Bui Hoai Son, a member of the National Assembly's Committee on Culture and Society, also believes that the core reason why national concerts resonate is their ability to awaken collective emotions. This is also the foundation for Vietnam's cultural industry to thrive, moving towards the model of many countries that have successfully transformed music festivals and cultural events into drivers of economic development.

Meritorious Artist Do Thanh Hai, Deputy General Director of Vietnam Television, said: "Organizing large-scale concerts is a strategic direction for VTV to actively participate in the creative and development chain of the cultural industry." According to Meritorious Artist Do Thanh Hai, the difference of recent concerts with tens of thousands of viewers is the direct involvement of state agencies, local authorities, and national media, contributing to creating a large-scale, professional art wave that changes the face of Vietnam's performing arts industry.

Following public observation of the recent concerts, which have shown very positive social effects, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh has directed the Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism to preside over and coordinate with the Directors General of Vietnam Television, Vietnam Radio, and Vietnam News Agency to urgently research and report to the Prime Minister on a plan to maintain and promote these concerts with innovative content, encouraging creativity from artists and program producers, applying modern performance technology, and considering naming them "Vietnamese Spiritual Festivals". The Prime Minister's directive also requires selecting suitable regions, provinces, and cities to organize concerts at appropriate times, creating a positive effect and energy for the entire nation, and preventing the exploitation of these events to ensure quality, violate regulations, infringe on traditional customs and morals, and negatively impact the cultural environment and the cultural and spiritual life of the people.

The implementation of the "Vietnamese Spiritual Festival" not only meets the increasingly sophisticated tastes of the public but also has a long-term vision, transforming concerts from individual events into a series of national festivals, spreading positive energy, enhancing spiritual life, and affirming Vietnam's identity and position on the international stage.
