Tuan Anh's penalty kick goes up in the air, HAGL is eliminated from the National Cup by the First Division team

HAGL has a good chance of reaching the semi-finals of the National Cup when they only have to face a team from the First Division, PVF-CAND. After the opening whistle, the opportunity immediately came to HAGL. In the 2nd minute, from a smart pass from his teammate, Dinh Thanh Binh escaped but his shot unfortunately went wide.

In fact, the mountain town team faced many difficulties in the situation of not being able to use foreign players. HAGL deployed the ball coherently but did not create enough pressure. After initially losing the game, PVF-CAND made a difference.

In the 18th minute, from Xuan Bac's difficult free kick, goalkeeper Tuan Linh failed to block it well and Ngoc Son took advantage of the opportunity to tap the ball into the net from close range to open the score for PVF-CAND. PVF-CAND tried hard to defend and stick to the opposing strikers. When they had the chance, HAGL's strikers also missed it regrettably. In the 61st minute, Tuan Anh passed the ball intelligently to Thanh Binh but the Vietnamese player shot the ball right into goalkeeper Thanh Tuan's position.

After a 1-1 draw in 90 minutes of official play, the two teams entered a penalty shootout full of luck. Tuan Anh and Huu Phuoc missed their kicks, causing HAGL to accept a 4-5 loss to PVF-CAND in the penalty shootout. PVF-CAND advanced to the semi-finals of the National Cup and met Dong A Thanh Hoa Club.
