In Ha Dong General Hospital (Hanoi), most of the hospitalized Covid-19 patients have underlying diseases. Of the 8 Covid-19 patients currently hospitalized, 5 have chronic kidney failure.
According to specialist doctor Tran Thi Kim Anh, Department of Tropical Diseases, Ha Dong General Hospital, most of the patients had been vaccinated against Covid-19 so there were no dangerous developments, mainly upper respiratory tract infections.
There are 1-2 cases of mild bronchitis complications. Patients usually return negative after 1 week of treatment.
The hospital maintains conditions for epidemic prevention and control, ensuring medical equipment and supplies such as ventilators, central oxygen systems, negative pressure rooms, air purifiers... In addition, ensuring adequate essential medicines to meet the needs of Covid-19 prevention and control.
Hanoi is always at risk of epidemics.
The Hanoi Center for Disease Control (CDC) assessed that Hanoi is always at risk of epidemics, including Covid-19.
Mr. Khong Minh Tuan, Deputy Director of CDC Hanoi, said that Covid-19 is still being well controlled but should not be subjective, because Covid-19 is known to spread very quickly if there are no timely prevention and control measures.
CDC Hanoi recommends that each citizen should not be subjective, but also not panic. It is necessary to proactively prevent the disease such as: wearing masks in public places, on buses, crowded places, at medical facilities...
People with suspected symptoms and those in contact with people with suspected symptoms of Covid-19 must wear masks. When having symptoms of fever, cough, and difficulty breathing, they need to go to the nearest medical facility for timely examination, monitoring, and treatment.
