On the evening of September 23rd, a vibrant Mid-Autumn Festival lantern procession took place in Ha Tinh City. This was the first time such a grand festival had been held in Ha Tinh, with the theme "Thanh Sen Mid-Autumn Lantern Procession".
Previously, Ha Tinh City assigned local authorities to organize Mid-Autumn Festival celebrations on a small scale; this is the first time a lantern procession has passed through all the streets. "The purpose is to give people enjoyable experiences, and also to stimulate tourism development," a leader of Ha Tinh City shared.
To prepare for the festival, the Party Committee and the government of Ha Tinh City have directed and prepared the necessary infrastructure as well as the form of lantern procession, which is rich in tradition and culture.
"Thanh Sen" is another name for the ancient citadel of Ha Tinh, built in 1882 in what is now Tan Giang ward, Ha Tinh city.
