Tung Duong collaborates with Son Tung M-TP's younger brother for the first time

MONO - Son Tung M-TP's younger brother sings a duet with Tung Duong in the song "Universe Signal".

Tung Duong has just introduced to the public his latest album titled Multiverse - Multiverse with 12 new songs. This is part of Tung Duong's important music project.

Multiverse along with some previously released MVs and the live concert on November 23 called "The Man Who Sings" combined into a unified musical space, through which Tung Duong shared with the public his latest musical mark. Moreover, Multiverse also shows the male singer's philosophy of life in the years entering a new threshold of life.

The songs on the album are arranged in a number of different musical genres, but have a common spirit of connecting classic values with popular modern styles.

Based on the idea that humans have always observed and reasoned about the universe since the beginning of time and are still constantly exploring the vast universe out there with all the most modern things of human civilization. In that spirit, each song is like a microcosm, containing in it the eternal thoughts and questions of humans when they see themselves as too small in this universe.

Due to the richness of music, it is not easy to classify albums. Multiverse - Multiverse according to a specific genre. However, the album's music has a lot of art-pop spirit, a music genre that combines elements such as fashion , fine arts, cinema... with an avant-garde nature, blending elements of pop, rock and many other new genres.

In 2024, Tung Duong had consecutive notable musical activities.

12 songs in the album Multiverse - Multiverse divided into 2 chapters. The first 6 songs are a look at the vast universe, an outside universe that we can observe and witness its constant transformation. The music in this part is more spatial/ambient music with the appearance of many electronic sounds.

The second half of the album is a story about a universe within each of us with all kinds of mental states and reflections on life, on ourselves and the relationships in life. It is an “inner” universe, when we turn all our senses to look back at our own being.

Both the outer and inner universes are presented in harmony in a smooth musical line from beginning to end. The listener is taken to moments of intense outpouring, like a universe in a violent explosion, but also moments of gentleness and softness, as if the soul is sublimated from the peace of the universe within each person.

In this album, Tung Duong continues to collaborate with familiar artists such as: Nguyen Huu Vuong, Luu Quang Minh and Antoine Lai, Sa Huynh - Nguyen Duy Hung, Double 2T... In particular, the album marks Tung Duong's first collaboration with MONO.

Son Tung M-TP's younger brother shared about the collaboration with the Vietnamese music divo : "The two brothers first met at a coffee shop. At that time, they both listened to the demo of Universe Signal for the first time. MONO's first impression was that the song had a lot of depth and was suitable for both brothers.

MONO and Tung Duong immediately started producing this song with the beat mixed by producer Maiki. Tung Duong still gave MONO a lot of his own space in this song. That's what surprised MONO. The freshness in musical thinking, from the division of sentences, the way of mixing & mastering and the way of working made a strong impression on MONO."

Vocals You are beautiful share more: "Honestly, MONO was a bit scared at first when he received the invitation to sing with Tung Duong. When I told him about this, he just said: 'Your voice and mine are compatible, don't worry too much'. During the recording process, MONO was in Ho Chi Minh City, and I was in Hanoi. Even so, the two brothers still coordinated very well, which surprised even MONO.

Previously, Tung Duong's image in MONO's eyes was somewhat serious, always neat and had a very strong personality. When they had the opportunity to 'collide', MONO saw that he was also humorous, cheerful and open-minded. He also gave MONO many pieces of advice that MONO will never forget about his voice, singing style or musical thinking.
