At the press conference to launch the reality show Brave Soldiers on the afternoon of July 23 in Ho Chi Minh City, singer MONO shared about a memorable experience during the filming process. Accordingly, he had difficulty breathing and inhaled toxic smoke when he accidentally removed his protective mask while transforming into a firefighter. Although he was afraid of heights, the male singer still tried to overcome it to complete the mission.

"Through the lessons, stories and challenges in the program, I will use them as motivation to develop myself and my career," MONO shared.

MONO shared in the press conference:

Not only MONO, singer Ngo Kien Huy also had difficulty in putting out the fire when a gas tank exploded.

Sharing exclusively with VietNamNet , Ngo Kien Huy admitted that he used to be afraid of many things, especially fire and gas cylinders. This fear originated from a haunting night when he was 4 years old, witnessing a terrible fire involving a gas cylinder. Since then, he has always avoided things related to fire.

But the program taught him to face his fear, to deal with it instead of running away. In real-life situations when assigned a mission, he had no time to think or be afraid. Especially when the commander called his name first in the group, he was forced to set an example for the other brothers. He followed the commanders' instructions and felt safer. Through the program, Ngo Kien Huy learned how to overcome fear and become stronger, no longer afraid of anything like before.

Ngo Kien Huy shared:

At the press conference, responding to opinions that the program has too many entertaining and humorous elements that would not be suitable for the serious nature of the People's Public Security force, Ms. Mai Tham - General Director affirmed that the program was built based on reality, not emotion.

"With advice from the Ministry of Public Security and other forces, the program has found a balanced method that both creates a comfortable space for artists and requires them to go through intense training hours like real combat," Ms. Mai Tham shared.

The program implementation process includes 3 steps: training artists on the field, participating in real combat situations, and recreating successful combat stories of real soldiers.

Major General Le Hong Hiep, Deputy Director of the Department of Political Work, also affirmed that the program is based on true stories and has valuable documents from the Ministry of Public Security.

"There was no script or prior information, all were natural, genuine reactions of the artists when facing a disciplined, harsh environment," said Major General Le Hong Hiep.

Through the program, Major General Le Hong Hiep also hopes that the audience will have access to real, colorful, emotional stories about the sacrifice and bravery of the People's Public Security soldiers.
