On the evening of November 5, the launch event of the Miss Universe 2025 pageant took place grandly with the participation of contestants, sponsors, representatives of the Miss Universe Thailand Organization (MUT) and the Miss Universe Organization (MUO). However, the focus of attention was on Mr. Nawat's emotional sharing.

Previously, since November 2, the conflict between Mr. Nawat and MUO has escalated. An online voting activity organized by Mr. Nawat was canceled by MUO because it was “invalid”. Tensions rose at the sash ceremony on November 4 when a group of candidates walked out of the event, causing the ceremony to be interrupted.
MUO President Raúl Rocha then publicly criticized Mr. Nawat for his “unreasonable demands and inappropriate behavior,” claiming that he was trying to attract attention. Raúl Rocha condemned Mr. Nawat for his aggressive, degrading behavior and violation of women’s dignity.
Mr. Raúl announced that he might suspend Nawat's role in pageant-related activities and send a senior executive team, including Mario Bucaro and Ronald Day, to Thailand to oversee the organization.
On the afternoon of November 5, Mr. Nawat apologized, admitting that he was "hot-tempered but only wanted the best for the contest," and expressed his hope that the two sides could cooperate peacefully .

However, he also said he felt “betrayed” and “hurt” when the conversation and apology during the livestream (online broadcast) on the evening of November 4 did not bring the expected results.
“I am human, I get hurt and tired too,” Mr. Nawat said in tears. “I feel like I have been stabbed in the back, forced to apologize, while they continue to hurt me.”
He also revealed that he had many disagreements with MUO, especially the illegal online casino advertising. Mr. Nawat said he had filed a report to the Thai police about this behavior and affirmed that he only wanted to “protect the dignity of the contestants and the reputation of the contest.”
Mr. Nawat also added that Mr. Raúl cannot limit his power, because the Miss Grand International Organization (MGI) holds the official hosting rights of the Miss Universe 2025 pageant and he is trying to protect the dignity of the contestants from being exploited to promote illegal activities.

In many shares, Mr. Nawat revealed that he himself spent more than 6 million USD to invest in the Miss Universe 2025 contest. The refusal of contestants to fulfill contracts with sponsors makes the situation more tense and difficult.
As planned, Miss Universe 2025 will take place from November 2 to November 21 in Thailand, gathering 122 contestants from around the world . This year's representative of Vietnam is transgender beauty Nguyen Huong Giang.
Currently, the contestants have just completed the warm-up activities such as filming, meeting and receiving sash. The main competitions such as national costume performance, swimsuit, evening gown and closed interview are the basis for the judges to choose the top 30, top 12, top 5 and finally Miss Universe 2025.
In October, MUO announced the appointment of Mr. Mario Búcaro (Guatemala) as CEO to replace Ms. Anne Jakkaphong Jakrajutatip (Thai) after she announced her resignation on May 20.
Ms. Anne still holds 58% of the shares, is the largest owner but no longer has executive rights.
Before leaving her position, Ms. Anne appointed Mr. Nawat as CEO of Miss Universe 2025, giving him full authority to organize, produce and market the event.
