Miss Yen Nhi talks about her noisy mouth, criticized by President Nawat for answering in circles

Miss Yen Nhi attracted attention in the closed interview when she confidently shared her story of overcoming difficulties and frankly faced recent controversies at Miss Grand International 2025.

On the afternoon of October 10, Yen Nhi entered the Closed Interview round with President Nawat Itsaragrisil, Vice President Teresa Chaivisut and reigning Miss Christine Juliane Opiaza at Miss Grand International 2025.

Appearing in an elegant white suit, the Vietnamese representative made a good impression thanks to her confident and friendly demeanor. When asked about the pressure at the competition, Yen Nhi confided: “I don’t feel too much pressure because Vietnamese fans always support me wholeheartedly. Of course, the recent events have made me feel heavier, but I think the pressure is the motivation for me to grow up.”

Yen Nhi also emotionally recounted her difficult childhood: “I was born into a family with a father who was a construction worker and a mother who sold lottery tickets. From a young age, I learned to be independent, working part-time at a restaurant to earn money to pay for my studies. I believe that where you start does not determine where you will go.”

Regarding her recent scandal, she frankly shared: “I apologize for causing everyone to misunderstand. When my roommate livestreamed, I accidentally used slang while talking on the phone. I have learned a valuable lesson and will be more careful with my words.”

President Nawat appreciated her honesty, saying it was “a valuable experience.”

When asked about Miss Grand Armenia - Lilia Gzraryan, Yen Nhi said: “She is my best friend, not a 'special' friend. Actually, I cannot give an exact answer right now but honestly, I love her very much and feel safe when I am with her.”

President Nawat commented: “She kept beating around the bush but in the end she admitted that she loved the Armenian representative.” Yen Nhi explained that in Vietnamese, the word “love” also means “to cherish like a friend.”

At the end of the session, Yen Nhi shared her dream of becoming an actress because she loves art and wants to spread positive energy through the stage. She also said that Miss Grand Tanzania – Beatrice Alex Akyoo is the person she believes deserves the crown this year.

On the same day, the Vietnamese representative received good news when he entered the top 20 of the Country's Power of the Year voting and will continue to call for votes in round 2. The winner of this category will be given a special place in the top 20 finalists.

Currently, Yen Nhi has completed 4 sub-competitions including: Grand Talent, Grand Talk, Swimsuit Competition and Closed Interview . In the coming days, she and the contestants will participate in cultural activities, practice for the semi-finals (October 15) and finals (October 18) in Bangkok (Thailand).
