Agribank Lang Son Youth Union members support watermelon transportation for people in Na Duong commune

Mr. Hoang Quang Viet, Secretary of the Youth Union of Agribank Lang Son said: With the slogan "Wherever there is a need, there are youths, wherever there is difficulty, there are youths", in recent times, the Youth Union of Agribank Lang Son has promoted propaganda work, built and effectively organized volunteer programs. More than 130 members, operating in 10 affiliated branches, are the core force, pioneering in community-based activities.

Accordingly, from 2024 to present, the Agribank Lang Son Youth Union has organized many social security activities such as: supporting equipment to overcome damage caused by storm Yagi at Bac Thuy Kindergarten, Nhan Ly commune worth 30 million VND; supporting 10,000 eucalyptus, pine, acacia seedlings... for young people to develop the economy ; supporting funding to renovate and build houses for 2 families in difficult circumstances in Dong Kinh ward; supporting funding to build a reading house and a children's playground in That Khe commune; supporting funding to implement 6 village road lighting projects, with a total value of over 51 million VND; implementing programs to support the exam season and giving over 800 gifts to students and children in difficult circumstances; participating in voluntary blood donation; supporting the consumption of agricultural products for people in Tu Doan commune (now Na Duong commune)...

Typically, on June 19, the Youth Union of Agribank Lang Son called on union members and young people to respond and support the consumption of watermelons for the people; support people in Na Duong commune to harvest watermelons and transport them to the consumption location. Ms. Nong Thi Tho, head of Ban Moi 2 village, Na Duong commune shared: This year's watermelon crop has unstable prices. Melon growers in the village have to sell at very low prices (from 3,000 to 5,000 VND/kg). Thanks to the support of union members and young people of Agribank Lang Son, more than 3 tons of remaining watermelons of the villagers have been consumed, at a price of 70,000 VND/2 fruits. I find this a meaningful and practical activity, contributing to encouraging the spirit and joining hands to consume agricultural products for watermelon farmers in the village.

In addition, every year, the Youth Union of Agribank Lang Son organizes 4-5 "Green Sunday" campaigns with 100% of union members participating to support customers in more convenient credit transactions, promote Agribank's products and services. Accordingly, the union members have supported customers with biometric authentication, updating identification documents, opening accounts, etc.

Mr. Vi Tung Khanh, Deputy Secretary in charge of the Youth Union of the Provincial People's Committee's Agencies, commented: Over the years, the Agribank Lang Son Youth Union has always been a typical and exemplary youth organization, promoting the spirit of initiative and creativity in community activities in the locality. The unit regularly proposes and coordinates to implement meaningful activities such as: winter volunteer programs, spring volunteer programs, sowing seeds of love, supporting exam season... Thereby, contributing to creating a widespread influence to a large number of youth union members in the area.

With these efforts, for many consecutive years, the Youth Union of Agribank Lang Son has been ranked as excellent in the work of the Youth Union and the youth movement. In 2024, the Youth Union of Agribank Lang Son received a certificate of merit from the Youth Union of the Provincial People's Committee's Agencies "For its outstanding achievements in coordinating the organization of Youth Union activities and the youth movement of the agencies of Lang Son province".
