In building digital government, Lai Chau youth play a role as a bridge between the government and the people. Youth volunteer teams supporting community digital transformation have been established in many communes and wards. They directly guide people to install and use the VNeID application, make cashless payments, and register administrative procedures online. Up to now, the Youth Union at all levels has maintained and effectively promoted 146 community digital transformation teams, 106 youth volunteer teams in communes and wards led by commune-level Youth Union secretaries with more than 1,500 union members and youth (YVTN) regularly "go to every alley, knock on every door" to propagate and mobilize people in making citizen identification cards; guide and support people to register, activate and use electronic identification accounts. Thereby, contributing to supporting people in the highlands to easily access online public services, at the same time, affirming the community responsibility and creative spirit of youth.

Implementing the 2-level local government model, since the beginning of July, Muong Kim Commune Youth Union has established a youth volunteer team to transform the community digitally. With the spirit of "wherever there is a need, there is youth, where there is difficulty, there is youth", the Youth Union members are always present at the Commune Public Administration Service Center to support and resolve many administrative procedures for people and guide people to access online public services, pay electronic bills, and register for level 2 electronic identification accounts.

Mr. Giang A Dia in Tu San village (Muong Kim commune) excitedly said: "Before, every time I went to do paperwork, I was very worried because I was afraid of filling in the wrong information or missing procedures and having to go back and forth many times. But now, the Youth Union members came to my house and were present at the Commune Public Administration Service Center to enthusiastically guide me on how to install the software, so now when I go to do the procedures, I only need to bring my phone, I don't have to worry about losing my documents, and the procedures are also resolved quickly."

“After the merger, the Mong ethnic people in Muong Kim commune live in 16 villages, not every household has access to technology. Therefore, we set up a group of youth volunteers to digitally transform the community, both as a bridge and to help people change their habits. This is an important step for digital transformation to spread to each village and hamlet” – Mr. Nguyen Tien Thanh (Youth Union member of Muong Kim commune) shared.

Lai Chau youth account for 20% of the province's population, mainly ethnic minority youth living in rural areas. In recent times, many youth unions have promoted their pioneering role in preserving and spreading the cultural identity of ethnic groups, and at the same time, applying digital technology to promote and introduce products to spread Lai Chau's agricultural products to customers inside and outside the province. Typical examples include: Sin Chai Youth Cooperative (ancient tea model), Ban Lang Economic Development Youth Group (model of growing and processing banana products), Hua Na Youth Cooperative (model of growing strawberries and black grapes), Thanh Xuan Cooperative (model of beekeeping and processing honey products).

With the product "Kim Tuyen Phuc Khoa Tea" - 3-star OCOP, young union member Nguyen Van Chinh in Phuc Khoa village (Muong Khoa commune) has turned the product "Kim Tuyen Phuc Khoa Tea" into a sought-after product on e-commerce platforms. "At first, I only tried selling a few kilos via Facebook, but unexpectedly, customers from Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City ordered a lot. After being trained in digital skills by the Provincial Youth Union, I boldly opened a booth on TikTok Shop. In just 3 months, revenue increased 3 times compared to before" - Mr. Chinh shared.

Not only stopping at business, Mr. Chinh also became the "digital transformation nucleus" of the village, regularly instructing people on how to take photos, post articles, and close orders online. Now many tea growers in the village know how to sell agricultural products online, no longer depending on traders like before.

On the cyberspace front, the Youth Union from the province to the grassroots level utilizes social networks as a modern propaganda and education channel, with a large number and reach synchronized from the province to the grassroots level. The information channels of the Youth Union are a sharp tool to widely and promptly disseminate the Party's guidelines and policies and the State's laws. Many online competitions are organized to suit the tastes and needs of young people such as: "Students in the 4.0 era and necessary life skills"; "Youth with cultural and social issues"... Notably, the construction of a digital tradition room - an online space that recreates the glorious history and traditions of the Youth Union and the youth movement of the province, helping union members and young people to access information anytime, anywhere.

From initiatives in production and business to supporting people to access online public services, Lai Chau youth are affirming their pioneering, creative and digital technology-mastering role. They are the bridge to bring the Party's resolutions and the State's policies into life, contributing to realizing the aspirations of a potential border province.
