Ho Chi Minh City: Received nearly 49 billion VND to support people affected by storms and floods

On October 8, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Ho Chi Minh City - City Relief Mobilization Committee organized a reception to support people affected by storms and floods.

At the reception, the City Relief Mobilization Committee received support from: Petrolimex Saigon Company Limited; Ismart Education Joint Stock Company; Gela Education Joint Stock Company; ICLC Intercontinental Foreign Language Center; Acaderm Academy, with a total amount of more than 300 million VND. In addition, the Ho Chi Minh City Health Department also supported 5,000 family medicine bags.

Speaking at the reception, Permanent Vice President of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Ho Chi Minh City Truong Thi Bich Hanh, Head of the City's Relief Mobilization Committee, expressed her gratitude to the kind hearts and noble gestures of organizations, units and businesses that participated in contributing support.

The contributions and support of the units are valuable resources, helping people in the localities overcome difficulties, restore production, and soon stabilize their lives. All contributions of units and individuals will be used for the right purposes, promptly and effectively, and will be made public on the media and the Electronic Information Portal of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Ho Chi Minh City.

Standing Vice President of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Ho Chi Minh City Truong Thi Bich Hanh informed that in response to the call of the Presidium of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Ho Chi Minh City organized a launching ceremony, calling on people, agencies, organizations and businesses in the area to share and help spiritually and materially, contributing to supporting people to overcome the damage caused by storms and floods. At the launching ceremony, the amount of donations was recorded at more than 35.6 billion VND.

As of October 7, the City Relief Mobilization Committee has received 3,016 donations with a total amount of more than 48.4 billion VND. From the received funds, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the City - City Relief Mobilization Committee has organized visits, encouraged and supported people directly affected by storms and floods in the Northern and North Central provinces with a total amount of more than 47 billion VND.
