At noon on October 8, speaking with a reporter from Hanoi Moi Newspaper, Vice Chairman of Huong Son Commune People's Committee Nguyen Anh Tuan said that the commune had mobilized 8 motorboats to support flood relief work in flooded areas of Thai Nguyen and Bac Ninh provinces.
“In the face of the prolonged heavy rains causing serious flooding in the northern provinces, Huong Son commune would like to express our deepest sympathy and understanding to the people suffering from natural disasters. In the spirit of “Looking to the North - the healthy leaves cover the torn leaves”, we are ready to support the flooded localities”, said Vice Chairman of Huong Son Commune People's Committee Nguyen Anh Tuan.
According to comrade Nguyen Anh Tuan, at noon on October 8, 6 motorboats arrived in Thai Nguyen, 2 motorboats arrived in Bac Ninh, carrying drinking water, life jackets, and relief supplies for people in flooded areas. Each boat can carry up to 20 people, all members are self-sufficient in food, accommodation, and living expenses during their duty. In addition, about 100 other boats and canoes of the commune have also been mobilized, ready to depart when requested by the localities.
Huong Son's boat teams have many years of experience in transporting and rescuing on rivers and streams in the Huong Pagoda area, always ensuring the safety of vehicles, drivers and goods.
