TPO - On the morning of March 20, dozens of union members, youth, police and military personnel of Thai Giang Pho commune (Bac Ha district, Lao Cai) supported people in San Chu Van village to relocate houses affected by storm No. 3 and demolish temporary and dilapidated houses.

In Thai Giang Pho commune, more than 40 youth union members, youth, commune police, and military forces were present early to support the families of Mr. Lo Seo Tenh and Mr. Lo Seo Lenh to relocate their houses. These two households are living in an area at risk of landslides due to the impact of storm No. 3. This is also an activity within the framework of the movement to eliminate temporary houses, dilapidated houses, and houses affected by the recent storm No. 3.

Furniture, necessary items and old house frames (made of wood, roofed with fiber cement sheets) of two households Lo Seo Tềnh and Lo Seo Lềnh were moved to a new, safer place.

All furniture, tools and materials were carried by young men for a distance of about 2km.

The route has many muddy and steep sections.

On the morning of March 20, all the furniture and house frames of Mr. Lo Seo Tenh and Mr. Lo Seo Lenh's families were moved to a new location.

The new house has been built safely, Mr. Tehn and Mr. Lenh's families are now secure and have a stable life.

Ms. Cu Thi Ngoc Linh - Secretary of Bac Ha District Youth Union (far right) said that the movement to support the elimination of temporary houses, dilapidated houses and houses affected by storm No. 3 has been widely promoted among union members, youth and people. Policies and support sources are regularly updated, creating consensus, joint efforts and active participation of all classes.

“Youth Union members in Bac Ha district participated in supporting families in digging foundations, transporting materials... with about 600 working days. As of March 2025, the Youth Union of Bac Ha district has connected and provided financial support to 11 households affected by storm No. 3. Currently, 8 houses have been handed over and put into use (each house received support of 100 million VND)”, Ms. Linh informed.
