Ngan Thi Van Su aims to join the Vietnamese women's team with points in the 2023 World Cup.
The Vietnamese women's team is actively training at the VFF to look forward to the matches at the 2023 World Cup.
At this year's tournament, Huynh Nhu and her teammates were in Group E with the defending champion of the US women's team, the Dutch women's team and the Portuguese women's team.
At a recent training session, striker Ngan Thi Van Su for the Vietnamese women's team shared: "I will try to be selected by the coaching board in the list of participating in the World Cup, because the whole team is excited because this is the first time. It was the first time Vietnamese women's football was featured in the biggest tournament on the planet.
For me, the European and American teams are also quite similar to the Philippines, they are very tall, physically strong. Coach Mai Duc Chung always told me that if I'm small, I have to be fast, the strategy must be good to make it easier to pass people."
Despite being in a difficult group, Ngan Thi Van Su aims to win points with the Vietnamese women's team: "I and the whole team think that getting 1 point in the World Cup is very valuable".
In the past few days, the players have also had time to practice with the official ball of the FIFA World Cup.
Talking about the process of getting acquainted with the whole team, Van Su said: "Regarding the practice with the new ball, the whole team thinks that the new ball is quite hard, heavy, the road is very uncomfortable, so the whole team is gradually getting used to the ball. This is about 90% new. I myself have not fully adapted to this new ball.”
The Vietnamese women's team will have two friendly matches against June 2-2 at VFF before leaving for Germany for training on June 3.
