Vietnam team finalizes list to compete with Syria

Coach Troussier's team has moved to Nam Dinh to prepare for an international friendly match with the Syrian team during FIFA Days in June 2023. Thien Truong Stadium will be the venue for the second match of the Vietnamese team under the new French coach.

In the shortlist of the Vietnamese team participating in the friendly match with Syria, coach Troussier kept 21 out of 23 players in the list registered to compete in the recent match against Hong Kong (China), and also selected 6 additional players from the Vietnamese team and 3 players from the U23 Vietnam team.

Goalkeeper Minh Toan, defenders Vu Van Thanh, Bui Tien Dung, strikers Nguyen Cong Phuong, Nguyen Van Toan, and Nham Manh Dung are the names that Mr. Troussier has included in the national team list to welcome Syria.

Meanwhile, 3 players of the U23 Vietnam team were given the opportunity to join the national team this time: goalkeeper Nguyen Van Viet, midfielder Nguyen Thai Son, Nguyen Duc Phu. Thus, in the current national team list, there are 7 players of the U23 team, including: defender Phan Tuan Tai, midfielder Khuat Van Khang, Hoang Van Toan, striker Nguyen Van Tung.

The group of players not selected to compete with the Syrian team this time will also be returned to their clubs, ending the training session in June 2023.
