
The State Bank of Vietnam listed the central exchange rate at 25,206 VND/USD, up 24 VND (equivalent to 0.10%) compared to yesterday. Thus, for the second day, the USD exchange rate increased to a consecutive high.
The buying and selling exchange rates listed by the State Bank of Vietnam are 23,996 - 26,416 VND/USD.
With a 5% amplitude, the current USD exchange rate that commercial banks are allowed to trade is at 23,946 - 26,466 VND/USD.
Major commercial banks have also simultaneously listed a sharp increase in USD exchange rates. Vietcombank listed it at 26,040-26,400 VND/USD and applied it until 5:00 p.m., an increase of 50 VND for buying and 20 VND for selling compared to early this morning and a sharp increase compared to the last trading session of the previous day.
BIDV listed at 26,040-26,400 VND/USD, up 10 VND in both directions compared to early this morning.
At 5:00 p.m., Techcombank listed 26,060 (buy) -26,401 VND/USD (sell for transfers) and 26,422 VND for large denominations of 50-100 USD purchased in cash or check, up both buying and selling compared to yesterday. This listed price increased 30 VND for buying and decreased 4-5 VND for selling compared to the morning.
For denominations of 1-2 USD, Techcombank listed the buying and selling prices at 25,954-26,466 VND/USD, the highest selling price within the allowed range of the State Bank. For denominations of 5-10-20 USD, Techcombank listed the prices at 25,997-26,429 VND/USD.
VietinBank listed the USD exchange rate at 4:45 p.m. at 26,039 - 26,399 VND/USD (buy-sell), slightly down in both buying and selling directions compared to the morning.
This afternoon, other commercial banks, such as VPBank listed 26,047-26,377 VND/USD. HDBank listed the transaction price 26,040-26,390 VND/USD.
On the free market, the USD exchange rate is currently traded at 26,380-26,430 VND/USD, maintained from this morning until now and equal to the price yesterday morning, July 28.
