With the current asset value, Mr. Pham Nhat Vuong is also the second richest person in Asia, just after billionaire Mukesh Ambani (Indian, owns 91.7 billion USD). Ranked right after Mr. Vuong are famous names such as billionaires of the world's leading retail group Walmart - Jim Walton and Rob Walton; Dell boss - Michael Dell...

The sudden increase in Mr. Pham Nhat Vuong's asset value was recorded by Forbes after the car company VinFast (a member of Vingroup) was listed on the US Nasdaq exchange. On the first day of its debut, VinFast's VFS shares jumped 68.45%, closing at 37.06 USD/share.

Accordingly, VinFast's capitalization officially exceeded 85 billion USD, surpassing a series of famous car companies in the world in terms of capitalization scale. This is also the Vietnamese enterprise with the largest capitalization value to date, far surpassing Vingroup (capitalization at the end of the session on August 16 reached more than 12 billion USD).

In VinFast's prospectus, before merging with Black Spade Acquisition, Mr. Pham Nhat Vuong held 100% of the interests at VinFast.

Of which, Vingroup owns 51.36%, two private investment companies owned by Mr. Pham Nhat Vuong, Vietnam Investment Group Joint Stock Company (VIG) owns 33.37% and Asian Star Trading & Investments Pte. Ltd owns nearly 15%. The VFS shares held by Mr. Vuong and internal shareholders are not allowed to be traded.

Forbes' valuation of Pham Nhat Vuong's assets far exceeds the valuation previously given by Bloomberg. According to Bloomberg Billionaires Index, after VinFast's listing on Nasdaq, billionaire Pham Nhat Vuong's assets were at 44.3 billion USD.

However, it should be noted that the assets of billionaires are mainly based on the valuation of stocks on the market. Accordingly, when the market price of stocks changes, the valuation of billionaires' assets will also fluctuate.
