U.16 Son La got a valuable point after a thrilling draw against Zantino Vinh Phuc in round 7 of the 2025 National U.16 Women's Football Championship.

The 7th round witnessed a very notable match between U.16 Son La and Zantino Vinh Phuc .

Son La U.16 is considered a team with good squad and battle experience. However, this was not a match where the defense of the mountainous team did their job well. Facing an opponent of equal strength, Son La U.16 unexpectedly conceded a goal at the end of the first half.

In the 31st minute, Hoang Thi Thai An seized the opportunity to score accurately to open the score for Zantino Vinh Phuc. Unexpectedly losing at a sensitive time, Son La had to accept entering the break in a losing position.

In the second half, coach Luong Van Chuyen asked his players to attack to find an equalizer. But when the attack could not make any progress, Son La's defense showed weaknesses. Nguyen Anh Thuy Duong put her name on the scoreboard and helped Zantino Vinh Phuc take a 2-0 lead.

With nothing to lose, Son La put a lot of pressure on the opponent's field and they made a difference. Just 3 minutes later, Ngo Hai Yen scored a beautiful goal to help Son La reduce the score to 1-2. In the 60th minute, Ngo Thi Huyen attacked and scored the equalizer 2-2. In the remaining minutes, Son La dominated but were not sharp enough to score more goals. In the end, the two teams tied 2-2.

In the early match of round 7, U.16 Hanoi was determined to win to create a gap with the chasing group behind. However, U.16 Ho Chi Minh City once again proved that they are not an easy opponent to defeat.

Throughout the match, U.16 TP.HCM created a solid defense and many dangerous counterattacks. On the contrary, Hanoi had the right to regret the missed opportunities. The match ended in a 0-0 draw. Thus, U.16 Hanoi is still the leading team in the rankings after the match on July 3.
