The Provincial People's Committee gives opinions on the plan to restore and embellish the national historical relic, the memorial site of cultural celebrity Le Quy Don.

On the afternoon of August 21, at the headquarters of the Provincial People's Council - People's Committee, Comrade Pham Van Nghiem, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee chaired a meeting to listen to relevant units report on the progress of the urgent restoration and embellishment project of the National Historical Relic of the Le Quy Don Cultural Celebrity Memorial Site in Le Quy Don Commune, Hung Yen Province.

At the meeting, the leaders of the Management Board of Construction Investment Project No. 02 reported on the progress of the project. Specifically, the project implementation is to renovate and embellish the Ancestral Temple and the Tomb of Le Trong Thu (father of the famous Le Quy Don). The scale of investment in renovating and embellishing the Ancestral Temple is about 1,215m2, including items such as: Entrance gate, ceremonial gate, worship hall, central hall, rear palace, stele house and many other items. At the Tomb of Le Trong Thu, the gate, tomb, shrine, and fence will be renovated and embellished. At the same time, the garden and technical infrastructure in the relic site will be renovated, repaired, and renovated.

The total investment capital for the restoration and embellishment of the relic is expected to be more than 41 billion VND from the state budget. The progress of implementation will be in 2025 - 2026.

Speaking at the meeting, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Pham Van Nghiem requested the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism and the Management Board of Construction Investment Project No. 02 to coordinate with relevant agencies and localities to review and complete the dossier to submit to competent authorities for approval, speeding up the construction progress. The renovation and embellishment must ensure balance, harmony, and maintain the original architectural features.
