On the afternoon of April 19, the Provincial People's Committee had a working session with the Korean Embassy in Vietnam led by Mr. Choi Seung Jin, Director of the Korean Cultural Center.
Working with the delegation were leaders of the Provincial People's Committee Office, representatives of the Departments: Tourism, Planning and Investment, Culture-Sports, Health .
Welcoming Mr. Choi Seung Jin and the delegation of the Korean Embassy in Vietnam to visit and work in Ninh Binh, comrade Nguyen Hai Rien, Deputy Chief of the Provincial People's Committee Office, briefly informed about the results of the diplomatic meeting between Ninh Binh Provincial Party Secretary Doan Minh Huan and the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Korea on March 25. Accordingly, a number of areas have been proposed for cooperation between Ninh Binh and Korea including: automobile mechanics, traffic mechanics; digital transformation, green transformation towards circular economy ; cultural industry; investment in construction and development of high-tech zones, semiconductor chip production; development of centers to support innovative startups; sports economy; restoration and renovation of historical and archaeological relics.
Based on the above cooperation proposals, the Deputy Chief of Office hopes that the delegates will focus on clarifying the above contents, emphasizing the fields of tourism, culture, sports, cuisine, and healthcare, contributing to promoting the development of cooperative relations between Ninh Binh and Korea in the coming time.
At the conference, representatives of the Departments informed about the potential and advantages of Ninh Binh in the fields of tourism, culture and health. Accordingly, the locality is not only blessed with many beautiful natural landscapes but also preserves a unique cultural and historical treasure. Ninh Binh currently owns two hot springs in Kenh Ga (Gia Vien) and Cuc Phuong (Nho Quan). These are valuable natural resources, of great significance for exploiting and developing medical tourism and medical tourism.
Regarding investment cooperation, the province has so far attracted about 45 Korean investors, mainly investing in the production and trading of electronic components, supporting the production and assembly of automobiles, seats, car cushions, etc. The investment and business environment is favorable, administrative reform activities are increasingly improved. Medical resources and modern equipment are invested to meet the needs of medical examination and treatment of the people.
At the conference, representatives of the Departments also expressed their desire to share Korea's experience in preserving, restoring and promoting archaeological and cultural values; experience in developing cultural industries, especially the fashion and cinema industries, etc. At the same time, they proposed some ideas and wished to cooperate in areas such as: restaurants, hotels, high-quality accommodation; rehabilitation centers, factories producing and distributing functional foods, equipment, fashion, sports accessories;...
Listening to the opinions and proposals of Ninh Binh province, Mr. Choi Seung Jin and the members of the delegation shared many experiences and methods that Ninh Binh is interested in. Affirming that the sustainable development cooperation relationship between Ninh Binh and localities and partners of Korea has been nurtured through many generations of provincial leaders and achieved many achievements, bringing benefits to both sides, the Ambassador believes that in the coming time, Korean investors coming to Ninh Binh will continue to develop further. After the working session, the Embassy and relevant agencies will continue to connect Korean enterprises to promote and seek opportunities for cooperation, investment as well as transfer of technology and experience to Ninh Binh province, especially in the fields of health, culture, sports and tourism.
