Provincial People's Committee works with Hessen Vietnam Office

Dien Bien TV - On December 2, the delegation of the Hessen Vietnam Office led by Mr. Kambiz Ghawami, President of the World University Support Organization of the Federal Republic of Germany, authorized representative of the Hessen State Government of the Federal Republic of Germany, in charge of coordinating and supporting cooperation activities with Vietnam, worked with the People's Committee of Dien Bien province. Comrade Le Thanh Do, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee received and worked with the delegation.

At the meeting, the two sides discussed expanding cooperation in the following areas: Supporting training of Dien Bien province's management staff in the Federal Republic of Germany; labor export, sending vocational students to Germany; considering and supporting the province in environmental protection; considering the feasibility of the project to equip clean water filters for schools and agencies in the province as well as the issue of granting scholarships to university and college students.

Comrade Le Thanh Do, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, gave a brief overview of the socio -economic development of Dien Bien province in recent years; the establishment of friendly and cooperative relations with 6 provinces of Northern Laos, the northeastern provinces of Thailand; Batna province, the Republic of Algeria, etc.

He hoped that the delegation of the Hessen Vietnam Office would pay attention to promoting cooperation with Dien Bien province in a number of areas: Labor export; education and training; cooperation in training management staff; cooperation in implementing projects on clean water supply and cooperation in the field of environmental protection.

On behalf of the delegation, Mr. Kambiz Ghawami affirmed that he would continue to cooperate and support Dien Bien province in the fields of education, training, and connecting the province with suitable partners. At the same time, he proposed that Dien Bien province coordinate with the Ministry of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs to establish a working delegation to the Federal Republic of Germany to survey, discuss and work on issues related to labor export; send specialized staff to participate in training courses in the Federal Republic of Germany on waste treatment; introduce Dien Bien province to participate in the International Tourism Fair in the Federal Republic of Germany to introduce the province's tourism development potential to businesses in Germany and other countries...
