Ukraine announced that it shot down 35 out of 41 cruise missiles and suicide UAVs used by Russia in its attacks on many areas.
"The enemy attacked Ukraine with 24 Shahed-136/131 suicide unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) and 17 Kh-55/101/555 air-launched cruise missiles at dawn," the Ukrainian Air Force Command said today.
The agency said air defense units shot down all 17 cruise missiles over Dnipro, Poltava in the central region and Khmelnitsky in the west of the country, while 18 suicide drones were intercepted en route to Odessa and Mykolaiv in the south.
Casualties and ground damage in the airstrike are unknown.

The Russian Defense Ministry has not commented on the information.
Russia is continuing its airstrikes across Ukraine, aiming to disrupt the supply network for the counter-offensive campaign that Kiev has been conducting for more than two months, as well as destroying the Storm Shadow/SCALP EG long-range missile depot and the Su-24M attack squadron used to strike a series of targets deep inside areas controlled by Moscow.
Several attacks have targeted Ukrainian military weapons and ammunition depots, oil storage facilities and industrial plants. Several attacks on the capital Kiev have also been carried out in recent months.
Western experts believe this is an attempt to neutralize Ukraine's defense network, especially the Patriot system, as well as to deplete anti-aircraft ammunition by forcing them to continuously fire expensive missiles to deal with UAVs or cheap missiles.

A series of raids also targeted the Danube ports of Reni and Izmail, Ukraine’s main grain export route since Russia withdrew from the Black Sea Grain Initiative in July. Ukrainian grain is transported by barge from these two locations to the Romanian port of Constanta, from where it is shipped elsewhere.
