From October 9 to October 10, at the Cao Bang Provincial Convention Center, major events will take place within the framework of the 19th Northern Midlands and Mountainous Region Science and Technology Conference and the first Cao Bang Provincial Innovation and Startup Festival - Techfest Cao Bang 2024.
The series of events is organized by the People's Committee of Cao Bang province and the Ministry of Science and Technology (MOST).
The event will attract the participation of over 500 delegates, including leaders of the Ministry of Science and Technology, Institutes, Universities, National Techfest Technology Villages, experts, and representatives from 20 Departments of Science and Technology of provinces in the Northern Midlands and Mountains region and a number of other provinces and cities across the country.
The 19th Northern Midlands and Mountainous Region Science and Technology Conference took place on the morning of October 10 at the 2nd floor hall of the Provincial Conference Center. The conference, themed “Pac Bo, the source of the revolution – Northern Midlands and Mountains preserve their identity, towards the future”, was an opportunity to summarize and evaluate the results of science, technology and innovation activities of the provinces in the Northern Midlands and Mountainous Region, and at the same time, an opportunity to raise awareness of all levels, sectors and the business community about innovative startups, forming innovative thinking in production and business.
This is also an important opportunity to connect Cao Bang with other provinces in the region, form and develop the regional economy, thereby enhancing propaganda and promotion of culture, people's image and specialty products of Cao Bang to friends across the country, bringing Cao Bang to quickly integrate with the economies of other provinces in the region and the national economy, targeting domestic and foreign markets.
On the sidelines of the conference, the scientific workshop “Promoting the application of technology and technical advances to contribute to the rapid and sustainable socio-economic development of the Northern Midlands and Mountains” was also held on the afternoon of October 9 at the first floor hall of the Provincial Conference Center. The workshop, with the participation of experts, scientists and institutes and universities in the region, will provide policy recommendations to promote the application of technology and technical advances to contribute to the rapid and sustainable socio-economic development of the Northern Midlands and Mountains.

In the series of events, for the first time, Cao Bang province organized the Innovation and Startup Festival - Techfest Cao Bang 2024, with the message "Source of creativity, aspiration of the country". This is an important event, demonstrating the determination of Cao Bang province in promoting the innovation and startup ecosystem in accordance with the practical conditions of the locality.
In the series of activities, Techfest Cao Bang 2024 will honor organizations and individuals with startup ideas, projects that won the first Cao Bang Innovation and Startup Competition, 2023 - 2024. At the same time, this is also an opportunity to promote and trade science and technology products, OCOP products of provinces in the Northern Midlands and Mountains region and some other provinces and cities across the country.
The Closing Ceremony of the First Innovation and Startup Festival - Techfest Cao Bang 2024 will take place at 11:30 a.m. on October 10 at the 1st floor hall, Provincial Convention Center.
In addition, the Organizing Committee also organized sideline events such as the Workshop "Building farmers' resilience to respond, adapt, innovate and take advantage of new opportunities" on the afternoon of October 8; the scientific forum: Cao Bang Youth Start-up Innovation - Opportunities and Challenges on the morning of October 9 at the 2nd floor hall, Provincial Conference Center; exhibition of science and technology products and innovation at the square of the Provincial Conference Center./.
