Apple says there are now thousands of locations that accept Apple Pay, with support from many major banks.
According to Tuoi Tre Online , users with credit and debit cards from banks such as ACB , MBBank, Sacombank , Techcombank , Vietcombank, VPBank can now use Apple Pay in Vietnam. This number will increase in the near future.
Apple Pay is a wireless online payment service and e-wallet introduced by Apple in 2014. Payment via Apple Pay allows users to make contactless transactions (via NFC ) without using a bank card. Thereby, minimizing the risk of exposing bank card information and users' personal information.
To use Apple Pay, users need an iPhone 6 or later running iOS 12.5.2 or later. The feature is also available on Apple Watch Series 4 or later running watchOS 9 or later. In particular, the Apple Watch needs to be paired with an iPhone 8 or later.
