The sacred oath before the Party

May 19, 2026, the 136th anniversary of President Ho Chi Minh's birth, became one of the most memorable milestones for student Nguyen Thi Nhu Y (born in 2005, Nursing College Class K16B, Thai Binh Medical College) as she had the honor of joining the ranks of the Party.
In the solemn atmosphere of the Party membership admission ceremony, before the Party flag and the national flag, Nhu Y could not hide her emotion as she shared: "In 2025, after nearly three years of studying, training, and striving at Thai Binh Medical College, I will be able to participate in the Party membership orientation class. For me, becoming a Party member while still in school is not only a source of pride but also a motivation to continue improving myself and living more responsibly towards the community."
To achieve this sacred and honorable moment today, Nhu Y impressed with her outstanding academic achievements and enthusiastic participation in group activities. In the 2024-2025 academic year, she received the "Excellent Student" award at the school level and was commended by the Executive Committee of the Youth Union of Thai Binh Medical College for her outstanding achievements in Youth Union work and youth movements. Not only is she academically gifted, but Nhu Y is also a special figure at the school, becoming the first Vietnamese contestant in the field of healthcare and social work to qualify for the WorldSkills Competition in 2026. Currently, the young Party member Nhu Y is actively practicing nursing skills and improving her English proficiency in preparation for her important competition in Shanghai (China).
With solid expertise, excellent professional skills, and a clear political stance, being admitted to the Party while still a student opened up many opportunities for Nhu Y's future development. But for this young student, the most important thing is the responsibility to live up to the trust of the Party organization and the sacred oath of a Party member.

As the class's Youth Union Secretary, with many achievements in academics and Youth Union activities, student Dinh Sy Cong (born in 2003, Rehabilitation K3 class, Thai Binh Medical College) was also honored to be admitted to the Party on this special occasion. Dinh Sy Cong shared that President Ho Chi Minh once taught young people to have ideals and aspirations to serve the Fatherland and the people. He believes that becoming a Party member is not the destination but the beginning of a longer journey of striving. Being admitted to the Party is a great honor, but it also places a responsibility on him to constantly cultivate his political acumen, ethics, lifestyle, and spirit of dedication.
According to Mr. Le Van Dung, Secretary of the Party Branch of Training and Examination Management at Thai Binh Medical College, developing the Party among students is always considered a crucial task by the school to build a generation of young people who possess both professional skills and revolutionary ideals. The Party branch currently has 16 members, including 4 student members. On the occasion of the 136th anniversary of President Ho Chi Minh's birth, the school admitted 29 outstanding students into the Party, bringing the total number of Party members in the branch to 45. These newly admitted students are all outstanding Youth Union members with excellent training records, high academic achievements, clear political awareness, and active participation in various activities. Developing the Party among students not only contributes to rejuvenating the Party membership but also motivates them to continue striving and growing in their future endeavors.
Not only at the college and university level, but also in high schools in Hung Yen, the work of developing young Party members is emphasized. At Ly Bon High School (Thu Tri commune), on the occasion of the 136th anniversary of President Ho Chi Minh's birth, the school organized a ceremony to admit 6 12th-grade students into the Party.
Dao Khanh Linh, a student at Ly Bon High School, proudly shared that upon entering high school, with the guidance and direction of her family and teachers, she nurtured the aspiration to become a member of the Communist Party. With that determination, she continuously strived in her studies, cultivated her moral character, and actively participated in Youth Union activities and school movements. Joining the Party at the age of 18 is a great honor for her and her family. This also motivates her to continue striving in her studies and training to live up to the trust of her teachers, family, and the Party organization.
Nurturing the next generation for the Party, following Uncle Ho's advice.

In his sacred testament left to the entire Party and the entire people, President Ho Chi Minh particularly emphasized the role of youth and the work of nurturing the revolutionary generation for future generations. He instructed: "Nurturing the revolutionary generation for future generations is a very important and necessary task."
Inspired by President Ho Chi Minh's teachings, over the years, Party committees at all levels in Hung Yen have consistently focused on identifying, nurturing, and developing outstanding young Party members to recommend for Party membership consideration. Developing Party membership among students is considered a crucial task aimed at building a team of young Party members with knowledge, character, and a desire to contribute.
Following the administrative unit merger, the Hung Yen Provincial Party Committee currently has 108 Party organizations directly under the Provincial Party Committee, 865 grassroots Party organizations, 33 departmental Party committees, and 6,214 subordinate Party branches with a total of over 183,100 Party members. From 2021 to March 2026, the province will admit over 22,700 new Party members; in the first three months of 2026 alone, 626 new members will be admitted. The proportion of young Party members under 30 years old accounts for 42% of the total number of Party members. As of the end of April 2026, the province will have nearly 350 Party members who are students. This demonstrates the determination of Party committees at all levels to rejuvenate the Party membership and create a successor pool for the future.
According to Thieu Minh Quynh, Secretary of the Hung Yen Provincial Youth Union, the development of Party membership in schools and among Youth Union members has always been identified by all levels of the Youth Union in the province as a key and central task to supplement the Party's young workforce, contributing to strengthening the organization and affirming its role as a reliable reserve force of the Party. From the training environment within the Youth Union, during the period 2022-2025, the Youth Union at all levels in the province recommended nearly 14,000 outstanding Youth Union members for the Party to consider for admission, of which nearly 10,000 members had the honor of joining the Party.

In the coming period, the Youth Union branches at all levels in Hung Yen province will continue to promote the study and emulation of Ho Chi Minh's ideology, ethics, and style; and at the same time effectively implement the campaign "Youth Union members strive to become members of the Communist Party of Vietnam".
In reality, many students, after being admitted to the Party, continue to play a pioneering role in learning, scientific research, social activities, and entrepreneurship. The emulation movements in schools also gain more positive elements as a result, spreading a sense of responsibility and beautiful ideals among young people.
The admission of young Party members in schools is not merely a recognition of each individual's efforts, but also a testament to the Party's trust in the younger generation. It is also a way for President Ho Chi Minh's teachings on Party building to continue to be realized through concrete actions, starting from the educational environment that prioritizes human development and is based on revolutionary ideals. Joining the Party is a proud milestone for many young Party members, especially those aged 18. For these "red seeds," this is the beginning of their training and growth, contributing to building a more prosperous, beautiful, and civilized homeland, continuing the revolutionary ideals and the path chosen by President Ho Chi Minh.
