The Fatherland Front at all levels and socio -political organizations continue to pay attention to and promote the program of eliminating temporary and dilapidated houses. This is one of the highlights of the first quarter conference of the Fatherland Front work of the Standing Committee of the Hai Duong Provincial Fatherland Front Committee held on the afternoon of April 9.
In the first quarter, the Fatherland Front and its member organizations actively participated in the program to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses for people with meritorious services and the poor in the province. Since its launch, the Provincial Fatherland Front Committee has received over VND5.2 billion from units and benefactors. From this source, the Standing Committee of the Provincial Fatherland Front Committee transferred VND3.6 billion to the province's Gratitude Fund to support the construction of houses for people with meritorious services and the poor; allocated over VND1.6 billion to 11 districts, towns and cities to build 41 houses.
The Fatherland Front of districts, towns and cities mobilized and received funds from agencies, units and enterprises to support the elimination of temporary and dilapidated houses. Of which, Nam Sach district received 1.3 billion VND; Cam Giang district received 800 million VND and mobilized 647 working days to support the construction and repair of houses; Ninh Giang district 430 million VND, Tu Ky district more than 47 million VND...
Concluding the conference, Chairman of the Provincial Fatherland Front Committee Nguyen Duc Tuan affirmed that the Fatherland Front and socio-political organizations have actively participated and advised to speed up the progress of eliminating temporary and dilapidated houses for the poor and meritorious people in the province. Currently, most of the households eligible for house building support have started construction. Many houses have been handed over and put into use, creating a great spread in society. This is a correct and accurate movement, demonstrating the humanity of the Party and State.
The Fatherland Front at all levels needs to coordinate with the authorities at the same level to promptly handle cases arising during the process of removing temporary and dilapidated houses; speed up the progress of building houses for people. The provincial Fatherland Front will allocate funds early to promptly support families before handing over the housing projects in June.
In addition to focusing on the program of eliminating temporary and dilapidated houses, the district-level Fatherland Front must review the campaigns and complete procedures to hand over to the authorities to be ready to move on to the new phase. In particular, the remaining funds from previous campaigns must be spent for the original purpose, not for other purposes. The support must be public and transparent.
In addition, in the coming time, the Vietnam Fatherland Front needs to coordinate with units at the same level to collect voters' opinions on the project to rearrange administrative units at all levels...
