In 2026, Bac Ninh province is expected to have approximately 29,800 hectares of lychee orchards, with an estimated production of over 95,000 tons. Of this, early-season lychees will account for about 8,200 hectares, yielding over 40,000 tons; while main-season lychees will cover approximately 21,600 hectares, yielding over 55,000 tons. The area cultivated according to VietGAP standards will reach 17,500 hectares, with many regions achieving GlobalGAP and organic standards.
In his opening remarks at the conference, Vice Chairman of the Bac Ninh Provincial People's Committee Pham Van Thinh stated that, alongside the development of high-tech industries, Bac Ninh continues to preserve and promote the distinctive agricultural values of the Kinh Bac region. Among these, lychee is a key agricultural product, increasingly affirming its quality and brand in both domestic and international markets.

Currently, Bac Ninh province has 243 export-oriented growing area codes covering over 17,450 hectares and 42 packaging facilities granted export codes. Bac Ninh lychees have been exported to many demanding markets such as China, Japan, the US, Australia, South Korea, Canada, etc., and have been granted geographical indication protection in 8 countries.
Along with lychees, Bac Ninh currently has 722 OCOP products rated 3 stars or higher and 56 key and distinctive agricultural products. To expand the consumer market, the province continues to promote trade, apply digital transformation, e-commerce, and livestream sales; and leverage the role of KOLs, KOCs, and digital platforms in promoting local agricultural products.
The leaders of Bac Ninh province affirmed that they will create favorable conditions for businesses and traders in the procurement, consumption, and export of agricultural products; continue to improve product quality, optimize logistics infrastructure, and expand sustainable export markets.
Highly appreciating Bac Ninh's proactive approach in preparing for agricultural production and consumption, Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade Nguyen Sinh Nhat Tan stated that the conference not only serves one crop season but also contributes to enhancing the competitiveness of Vietnamese agricultural products and building a modern, sustainable agricultural value chain.

The Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade requested Bac Ninh to continue prioritizing quality, standards, and traceability as the foundation for development; strictly manage planting area codes, packaging facilities, pesticide residue levels, and quarantine requirements of each market.
The province needs to standardize packaging and labeling, and build a high-quality lychee brand to expand into potential markets such as Japan, the US, the EU, South Korea, Canada, and the Middle East.
Bac Ninh needs to strengthen connections with supermarkets, wholesale markets, convenience stores, e-commerce platforms, and digital platforms to expand domestic consumption; diversify export markets, and coordinate with logistics units to reduce transportation costs and ensure the quality of agricultural products during peak harvest seasons.

At the conference, businesses, distribution corporations, government agencies, and international partners exchanged various solutions to improve the efficiency of lychee and agricultural product consumption in the province, such as connecting with supermarket systems and e-commerce platforms; optimizing cold storage and logistics; promoting digital communication; and building a sustainable consumption chain.
Within the framework of the program, the Organizing Committee announced the Decision recognizing "Beautiful Lychee Orchards of 2026" in Bac Ninh province (Phase 1); awarded prizes for the creative communication content contest with the theme "Bac Ninh Lychee - Sweet Fruit Spreading"; and simultaneously held a ribbon-cutting ceremony to launch lychees for domestic consumption and export.
