Give children back their true summer experience.

As summer arrives and the school year draws to a close, many families face a familiar dilemma: how to ensure their children have a truly meaningful summer? After months of chasing grades and academic pressure, perhaps what children need most is a proper summer break to rest, experience new things, and grow.

For many years, the cycle of extra tutoring has turned the three summer months, which are supposed to be a break for students, into a third semester. After leaving school, many students continue to be caught up in handwriting practice classes, advanced curriculum courses, or review sessions.

However, recently, the mindset of many parents has undergone a positive change. Instead of continuing to fill their children's time with extra classes, many parents are choosing to give their children back a meaningful summer with experiential trips, visits to the countryside, kite flying, potato digging, or simply free afternoons running and playing in the park.

The decision to let children play more than study is not a careless choice, but a scientifically sound and humane one. After a year of grueling school schedules, early mornings, and exam pressure, summer is the time for children to recharge both physically and mentally.

If children continue to be crammed with knowledge, without time for play, exploration , and independent thinking, they are very likely to become tired and exhausted as soon as the new school year begins. In that case, the price to pay will be far greater than the amount of knowledge accumulated during the summer months.

However, giving children back their summer break doesn't mean letting them spend all day glued to phones, tablets, or television. That's another equally dangerous trap. A meaningful summer requires parental guidance and support.

These could include life skills classes, swimming lessons, summer camps, volunteer activities, or simply spending time cooking, reading, and chatting with your children after a busy school year.

It is through these experiences that children learn independence, sharing, love, and maturity from the small setbacks in life. Knowledge is not only found in books, but also exists in life skills, in adaptability, and in character that is nurtured every day.

Summer isn't the starting point for a new race, but rather a necessary break to allow children to recharge for the long journey ahead. Changing habits and overcoming the pressure of seeing other children succeed is always a challenge for parents.

But a childhood full of experiences, fun, exploration, and healthy moments of rest will become a valuable asset for a child's future. Don't turn summer into a continuous series of academic pressures.

Let the summer months instill in children's hearts a sense of excitement and joy, so that when the new school year begins, they enter the classroom with a fresh, radiant, and energetic mindset.
