The Cham people in Binh Thuan live concentratedly in 6 districts: Tuy Phong, Bac Binh, Ham Thuan Bac, Ham Thuan Nam, Ham Tan and Tanh Linh. Of which, there are 4 pure Cham communes and 9 mixed villages in 6/10 districts and cities of the province.
Every year during the peak seasons of domestic and international tourists, in addition to building special tours and routes, introducing new entertainment areas in operation, organizing activities associated with local culture right at the resort will bring many interesting experiences to visitors during their stay here. Visitors can also immerse themselves in the Apsara dance of the Cham people. The dances and songs, combined with the sounds of musical instruments such as: Ghi-nang drum, Paranung drum, Saranai trumpet... captivate people's hearts. The rustic products of Binh Duc Cham pottery, brocade weaving, music performances, Cham musical instruments... at the resorts during the peak tourist season have attracted the attention of domestic and international visitors. Here, artisans have continuously performed the art of making pottery and weaving Cham brocade to meet the needs of research, sightseeing, and enjoyment of visitors when coming to Binh Thuan.
The general feeling for many tourists is that Cham culture is expressed through architecture, sculpture, pottery, brocade weaving, singing, dancing, writing, ethnic costumes... Coming to Binh Thuan, tourists can freely admire the unique architectural works of Cham towers such as: Po Sah Inư temple group, Po Dam tower (also known as Po Tam)... Cham towers have stood the test of time, despite the ups and downs of time, but their architecture and sculpture still retain their value.
In addition, the Cham community annually organizes the Kate and Ramuwan festivals, which are extremely unique and have become destinations for tourists who want to learn, research, enjoy and experience Cham culture. This has created excitement about the province's new cultural and tourism products.
According to the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Binh Thuan, the Cham ethnic group not only has a unique and rich culture, but also makes an important contribution to the diversity and development of ethnic groups in Vietnam. Respecting and protecting the culture of ethnic minorities is a common responsibility of the whole society. By preserving and developing the Cham culture, we not only ensure the existence and development of a special ethnic group, but also create a social environment containing cultural diversity, fairness and solidarity. The performances of Cham weaving and pottery by artisans at exhibition points in resorts are an opportunity to introduce, honor and promote the unique and distinctive cultural values of the Cham people in the diversity of Vietnamese culture to the people of the whole country and international friends, contributing to creating attraction to promote the development of local tourism economy.
It is known that in 2024, the whole province of Binh Thuan welcomed nearly 9.68 million visitors and stayed at the province's tourist areas. Of which, international visitors welcomed nearly 320,000, mainly from Korea, China, Russia, Germany, UK, USA, Northern Europe... Currently, Binh Thuan is in the peak season of welcoming international visitors. Tourism activities with Cham culture not only contribute to preserving and promoting the traditional culture of ethnic groups in Binh Thuan, bringing benefits to tourism activities, for Cham people in the area to participate in tourism, but also contribute to preserving and introducing Cham culture widely at home and abroad and becoming typical tourism products when each accommodation facility is trying to create to attract domestic and foreign tourists to Binh Thuan.
