Following the direction of the Government, the Prime Minister and the practical situation, in 2024, the culture, sports and tourism sector has actively and proactively implemented comprehensively the fields of culture, sports and tourism, achieving clear results in both awareness and action, transforming the mindset from "doing culture" to "state management of culture". The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism focused on reviewing, promoting the amendment, supplementation, and perfecting of specialized legal policies with 20 legal documents, creating an important legal corridor, contributing to removing difficulties and obstacles and moving towards transforming cultural assets into development resources; many cultural heritages were recognized by UNESCO; the work of preserving and promoting the value of cultural heritage achieved many new achievements.

The year also marked a transformation in the cultural industry from policy to practice. In particular, Vietnamese sports participation in international sports events left many positive impressions, winning a total of 1,175 international medals, including 447 Gold Medals, 344 Silver Medals and 384 Bronze Medals. Along with that, Vietnam's tourism in 2024 achieved very impressive numbers with 17.5 million international visitors; 110 million domestic visitors; total revenue from tourism is estimated at 840 trillion VND.
In addition, cultural and foreign affairs work has many bright spots. Speaking at the conference, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh acknowledged and commended the efforts of the culture, sports and tourism sector, contributing to the whole country overcoming difficulties and challenges, and fulfilling the set socio-economic development goals. In order to improve the effectiveness of the culture, sports and tourism sector in 2025, he requested the whole sector to further promote its core role in the cause of reviving Vietnamese culture in the new period; focus on arranging and streamlining the organizational apparatus, stabilizing smooth operations; continue to advise and comprehensively and promptly institutionalize new policies and guidelines; preserve and promote traditional cultural values, core values, and unique identities of Vietnamese culture; create and build a healthy cultural environment to create a solid foundation for building Vietnamese culture and people imbued with the spirit of autonomy, self-confidence, self-reliance, self-reliance, and national pride.
