“It’s not peak season for European tourists, but there are days when the rooms here are fully booked. Thanks to the development of tourism and the fishing industry, the economic life of the people in Bai Huong is quite prosperous, with no poor households,” said Mr. Nguyen Minh Duc, Vice Chairman of the People’s Committee of Tan Hiep commune.

Locals say that at times, the number of visitors is equal to half the village's population, resulting in a shortage of rooms. Even so, visitors still refuse to stay at Bai Lang or Bai Ong beaches, preferring to spread out mats on the porches of houses and listen to the waves at Bai Huong beach.

In the past, the people of Bai Huong village relied entirely on fishing for their livelihood. However, in recent years, with the increasing number of European tourists visiting the resort village, many households have switched to providing homestay and food services.

“It’s wonderful! This place is so attractive, the air is fresh, the scenery is peaceful, and the fishermen are also like that; they’re not in a hurry, still fishing in the traditional way, with their tiny boats, the husband and wife going out to sea to catch seafood… This is what we enjoy most and want to return to this village again,” shared a French tourist.
