Located in Muong Thanh ward, the Dien Bien Phu Victory Museum houses and displays nearly 1,000 documents, images, and artifacts about the Dien Bien Phu Campaign and the significance of the Dien Bien Phu Victory in the resistance war against French colonialism. The museum covers a total area of 22,000 m2 and is designed in the shape of a truncated cone, with the surrounding decorations shaped like rhombuses, symbolizing the camouflage netting of a soldier's helmet.

The highlight here is the panoramic mural "The Battle of Dien Bien Phu," divided into four sections: The Nation's Deployment; The Epic Prelude; The Historic Confrontation; and The Victory – creating a magnificent and vivid pictorial account of the Dien Bien Phu Campaign. The mural, covering over 3,000 square meters, depicts 4,500 figures amidst the tragic 56-day final battle of the Dien Bien Phu Campaign, created by over 200 artists and sculptors who worked tirelessly for two years. The painting won first prize at the 2022 Vietnam Fine Arts Association Awards and is one of the world's largest works of art on the theme of war.

Nestled beneath the ancient forest canopy in Muong Phang commune, the Dien Bien Phu Campaign Command Headquarters, comprising a system of barracks and bunkers, was where General Vo Nguyen Giap and his officers and soldiers were stationed, held strategic meetings, and made decisions that led to the historic victory of the campaign.
The former workplace of General Vo Nguyen Giap, located within the grounds of the Dien Bien Phu Campaign Command Post historical site, is a popular destination for many tourists.
