(Chinhphu.vn) - On the afternoon of April 30, in Ho Chi Minh City, comrade Le Hoai Trung, Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Chief of the Central Office, received comrade Jesús Faria, Vice President of the ruling United Socialist Party of Venezuela (PSUV), leading a high-ranking delegation of the PSUV and the Government of Venezuela to attend the 50th Anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification (April 30, 1975 - April 30, 2025).

Comrade Le Hoai Trung warmly welcomed Vice President of the PSUV Jesús Faria to return to Vietnam and highly appreciated the PSUV and the Venezuelan Government for sending a high-ranking delegation to attend Vietnam's important anniversary, which is a vivid demonstration of the trustworthy and effective cooperative relationship between the two Parties and the valuable support of the Venezuelan people for the Vietnamese people's cause of defending and building the Fatherland.

Expressing satisfaction with the positive development of relations between the two ruling parties and the two countries in recent times, Party Central Committee Secretary and Chief of the Central Office Le Hoai Trung suggested that the two sides increase delegation exchanges and contacts at all levels through Party, State, National Assembly channels and people-to-people exchanges; effectively implement the Cooperation Agreement between the Communist Party of Vietnam and the PSUV Party for the 2023-2028 period, the Political Consultation mechanisms at the Deputy Foreign Minister level, promptly coordinate to organize the 4th meeting of the Vietnam-Venezuela Intergovernmental Committee, as well as cooperation documents in various fields between the two countries to continue creating conditions for the two countries' strong products to access each other's markets in order to increase bilateral trade turnover; promote investment cooperation in the fields of energy, telecommunications, agriculture, construction materials, etc.

For his part, Vice President of the United Socialist Party of Venezuela Jesús Faria expressed his joy and honor to return to visit Vietnam on the occasion of Vietnam's 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification Day; expressed his admiration for the Vietnamese people's struggle for national liberation and reunification and the achievements in all aspects of the Doi Moi process initiated and led by the Communist Party of Vietnam.

Expressing gratitude for Vietnam's warm and friendly reception during the celebration, the Vice President of the PSUV affirmed that Venezuela highly values ​​its increasingly important international position and cooperative relationship with Vietnam, and is ready to coordinate with Vietnam to expand cooperation in strategic areas, as well as expand Vietnam's cooperative relationship with the Latin American region, for the benefit of the people of the two countries, for peace, stability, cooperation and development in the two regions and the world .

On this occasion, the two sides agreed to strengthen and expand cooperation between the two ruling parties, especially sharing experiences in leadership and management of national development, training officials, as well as enhancing cooperation within the framework of international organizations and multilateral forums.
