Ca Mau: Focus on completing official houses, arranging accommodation for officials

On July 16, the Department of Construction of Ca Mau province said that the province is focusing on speeding up the renovation and repair progress to complete as soon as possible the public housing areas and state-managed accommodation to arrange accommodation for officials, stabilize their lives and living when they come from Bac Lieu to Ca Mau to work after the province's merger.

Ca Mau Guest House is being renovated and repaired to accommodate officials from Bac Lieu coming to Ca Mau to work after the province's merger.

Currently, about 300 people have been arranged in public houses, guest houses and some renovated and repaired headquarters, while many others rent accommodation outside. According to the plan, in July 2025, 48 rooms (6 public houses and 42 guest rooms) will be completed; by September 1, 80 more rooms (20 public houses and 60 guest rooms) will be completed.

When merging Bac Lieu province and Ca Mau province, the total number of cadres, civil servants and public employees of Bac Lieu province coming to work at the new administrative unit of Ca Mau province was about 1,730 people, of which about 790 people requested support for accommodation costs; more than 850 people requested housing and official housing; the rest had no need.

Previously, the People's Council of Ca Mau province approved a support policy for cadres, civil servants, public employees and workers from Bac Lieu to work in Ca Mau after the province's merger. These cadres will receive support including 1.2 million VND for house rent, 520,000 VND for travel expenses and 500,000 VND for living expenses per person per month. The support period is 2 years.
