Prolonged heavy rains caused serious landslides, isolating 5 villages in Ngoc Linh commune, Quang Ngai province. Local authorities mobilized forces to open temporary roads and transport necessities to support the people.

From the goods called for by the Department of Industry and Trade, Ngoc Linh commune promptly distributed to more than 400 households with more than 1,700 people who were isolated due to landslides. The support helped people reduce difficulties during the days of isolation.

The Commune People's Committee has mobilized militia, youth union members and local people to open a temporary road of about 1.5 km to connect the northern villages. However, the heavy rains have continued to cause this road to continue to erode, so the commune is opening a new road to ensure traffic.

Currently, authorities are urgently overcoming landslides, ensuring food and necessities are fully provided to people in isolated areas, helping people stabilize their lives soon.
