Prolonged heavy rain has caused serious landslides on Highway 623, from Son Mua Bridge to Ta Meo Bridge, Son Tay Thuong Commune, Quang Ngai Province. This route has 25 landslides with a volume of soil and rock of about 60,000m³.
From the commune center to Dak Doa village is about 17km, of which more than 13km must be walked, 2km of which are seriously eroded, transporting goods by human power takes a lot of time and effort.
Currently, Dak Doa village has about 90 households with 145 people. In this situation, the local government has changed the direction of transporting relief goods by waterway, through Dak Drinh lake to supply food, food and necessities to the people of Dak Doa village. This solution helps shorten the access time, ensuring that goods are delivered to the people in time during the days of isolation.
Along with the supply, the locality is urgently mobilizing forces, vehicles, and machinery to clear rocks, soil, and trees at major landslide sites, striving to temporarily open the road to Dak Doa village today.
