VFF awarded the Medal "For the cause of Vietnamese Football"

VHO - On October 9 in Ho Chi Minh City, the leaders of the Vietnam Football Federation (VFF) awarded the "For the Cause of Vietnamese Football" Medal to individuals who have made many contributions to the country's football.

VFF President Tran Quoc Tuan awarded the "For the Cause of Vietnamese Football" Medal to Mr. Nguyen Van Hung, Vu Duc Thanh and Cao Van Chong

Accordingly, VFF President Tran Quoc Tuan awarded the "For the Cause of Vietnamese Football" Medal to individuals: Mr. Nguyen Van Hung - Chairman of Becamex Group, Mr. Vu Duc Thanh - former Chairman of Binh Duong Football Federation and Mr. Cao Van Chong - Deputy Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Ho Chi Minh City.

Since 2007, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Binh Duong province (now the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Ho Chi Minh City) has coordinated with the Binh Duong Provincial Football Federation (now the Ho Chi Minh City Football Federation) to organize the Binh Duong Provincial Football Championship with the participation of nearly 200 amateur football teams in the area.

Over the years, the tournament has not only been held annually but also become a traditional playground, contributing to the development of the sports movement, improving the cultural and spiritual life of the people.

In recognition of the practical and effective contributions of individuals in the development of grassroots and professional football in the locality, on June 28, 2025, the VFF Executive Committee issued Decision No. 577/QD-LĐBĐVN on awarding the "For the Cause of Vietnamese Football" Medal to Mr. Nguyen Van Hung, Mr. Vu Duc Thanh and Mr. Cao Van Chong.

The ceremony is an opportunity to recognize the contributions of individuals in the development of grassroots and professional football in the locality.

Speaking at the ceremony, on behalf of the Executive Committee and Standing Committee of VFF, Mr. Tran Quoc Tuan expressed his appreciation for the positive and effective contributions of the honored individuals.

The VFF President emphasized that the companionship and enthusiasm of Mr. Nguyen Van Hung, Mr. Vu Duc Thanh, and Mr. Cao Van Chong not only played an important role in the development of Binh Duong football in the previous period, but also contributed to the overall development of the country's football.

VFF President Tran Quoc Tuan expressed his hope that in the coming time, individuals and organizations will continue to accompany and support more strongly the activities of the country's football, especially in the development of grassroots football, youth training and together build a solid foundation for the country's football.
