No less excellent than Huy Hoang is Vietnam's number 1 female swimmer Vo Thi My Tien. This 20-year-old swimmer single-handedly won 9 individual gold medals in the 200m breaststroke,
200m butterfly, 400m medley, 800m freestyle, 100m butterfly, 1,500m freestyle, 400m freestyle, 200m medley, 200m freestyle helped Tay Ninh team rank second overall, just behind Ho Chi Minh City (13 gold medals). Despite competing in many events, My Tien excellently broke the national record in the 100m butterfly with a time of 1 minute 00 seconds 64. The old record was 1 minute 00 seconds 69 set by Nguyen Thi Anh Vien in 2014. Currently at the peak of her form, My Tien promises to reap better results at the 33rd SEA Games despite having to compete with very strong opponents from Singapore.
Another face that also made a special mark at the 2025 National Swimming Championship is 16-year-old female swimmer Nguyen Thuy Hien (Army). She brought home 5 individual gold medals for the Army in her short-distance specialties: 50m breaststroke, 50m freestyle, 50m butterfly, 100m breaststroke, 100m freestyle. In the 50m breaststroke, Nguyen Thuy Hien broke the 15-year-old national record of Pham Thi Hue. Nguyen Thuy Hien's achievement was 32 seconds 29 while the old record was 32 seconds 46.
In addition, players such as Pham Thanh Bao, Tran Hung Nguyen, Nguyen Quang Thuan... all demonstrated their abilities in their favorite distances. The coaching staff of the Vietnamese swimming team assessed that most of the players had affirmed their talents through stable achievements at the national championship. The coaching staff also said that the Vietnamese players will enter a decisive training phase so they will continue to improve their achievements, promising to reach the highest level at the 33rd SEA Games in December.
