Helps keep sleeping space dry

Rice has the ability to absorb moisture extremely effectively, especially on humid or rainy days, when the air in the room is very humid, easily causing the pillowcase to become wet, smelly or moldy. Placing a handful of rice under the pillow helps reduce the humidity of the surrounding air and on the pillow. This is very important in maintaining a healthy and comfortable sleeping environment.

To do this trick, you just need to prepare a handful of dry rice, put it in a thin cloth bag or clean sock, tie the bag tightly to ensure the rice does not fall out, and place it under your pillow before going to bed.

If you don't have a cloth bag or socks, you can use thick tissue paper to wrap the rice and place it under your pillow.

Helps warm the body in cold weather

In winter, when the weather turns cold, you can use rice to warm your body. A simple way is to put the rice in a cloth bag, heat the rice bag in the microwave at a moderate temperature. After the rice bag has warmed up, you can put it on your body to warm it up or keep it in a blanket, under your pillow to create a warm feeling when sleeping.

If you don’t have a microwave, you can put the rice in a pan and gently roast it over low heat until it’s warm. However, be careful not to let the rice get too hot as it can burn your skin when used.

- Use rice to preserve eggs

If you accidentally buy a lot of eggs and don't have enough space in the refrigerator, put them in a rice box. Dry rice has good moisture absorption, limiting the growth of bacteria. The rice bran layer can fill the air holes on the surface of the egg, helping to isolate the egg from the air, keeping the egg fresh longer.

Note, when putting eggs in the rice bin, you need to arrange the large end of the egg facing up and the small end facing down to avoid the egg yolk sticking to the shell.

- Keep the salt shaker dry.

After a while, you may find that the salt is easily watery. To fix this, use rice. Take a small piece of plastic wrap, wrap a handful of rice inside and tie it tightly (the size of the rice wrap should be just enough to fit inside the salt shaker easily). Use a toothpick to poke a few holes in the rice wrap. Put the rice wrap in the salt shaker. The rice will absorb moisture, keeping the salt dry.
