Recently, musician Do Bao announced a concert project to celebrate 30 years of pursuing his musical journey called A Vast Alone, including 2 nights at the Ho Chi Minh City Peace Theater (November 11) and the Hanoi National Convention Center (November 25). The program has 9 different ticket categories, from 1,200,000 VND - 6,200,000 VND, with names based on Do Bao's famous songs: Endless Sky; Under the Clear Sky; By the Lake Mirrors; Sunset on the Upper Street; Sunny Window Frame; Behind the Firelights; Frosted Glass Window; By the Eager Shore; Towards the Lighthouse...

Previously, Hoang Thuy Linh's Vietnamese Concert also chose a similar approach when the ticket categories were all named after her "hit" songs. The highest ticket category (SVIP) was called See Tinh with a price of 3.9 million VND, the VIP category was called Gieo Que with a price of 3.5 million VND, the two areas Ke Thiet and Ba Gia cost 2.7 million VND, the two areas Bat Via and Duyen Am cost 2.5 million VND. The only standing area right next to the stage was called Eldest Daughter Run Away with a price of 1.5 million VND. In addition, the two areas Tu Phu and Dang Do were not for sale and were reserved for the media and guests.

On sale at the same time, tickets for singer Trung Quan's concert 1589 have the following ticket prices: Trot yeu (3 million VND); Dau mua (2.5 million VND); Tu tinh (1.8 million VND); Chuyen mua (1.2 million VND); Chua bao gio (1 million VND) and Goi mua (800 thousand VND). After a short time, the male singer announced that all tickets were sold out in both Ho Chi Minh City and Hanoi .

Is naming a song for a ticket class a good idea?

Naming songs for concert ticket categories is actually not too new. Since 2019, Ha Anh Tuan's Live Concert Short Stories in Hoi An has had ticket prices named after songs: An : 3,200,000 VND; The girl and the piano : 2,400,000 VND; Love you : 1,600,000 VND; Spring: 1,200,000 VND; There is a boy who writes on the tree : 700,000 VND. However, recently, this method has become more and more popular.

Sharing with PV Dan Viet , musician Do Bao said that this was the idea of his team. "I trust my teammates. They chose a list of my songs. That's also a way of doing it, but whether it contributes to better ticket sales or not, I don't have much opinion or expertise."

Meanwhile, media expert Nguyen Tuyet Nhung commented: "Naming an artist's songs for ticket categories in their own concert is a creative and interesting way. First of all, it partly reminds the audience of their marks on the artistic journey, the musical style they aim for, thereby helping viewers consider when buying tickets. In fact, not all audiences remember all the songs of a musician/singer, so reminding is absolutely necessary."

Naming concert ticket classes after songs also shows the confidence of an artist. After many years of working in the profession, they have created their own "fortune" to present to the audience, and therefore, they have every right to be proud of that.
