The Provincial People's Procuracy reviews its work for the first six months of 2026.

On May 7th, the Provincial People's Procuracy held a conference to review the work of the first six months of the year and implement tasks for the last six months of 2026; and awarded prizes for the competition to learn about Resolution 205/2025/QH15. The conference was conducted in a hybrid format, combining in-person and online participation with regional People's Procuracies throughout the province.

In the first six months of 2026, the People's Procuracy at both levels in Son La province implemented a comprehensive range of solutions to improve the quality of prosecution and judicial supervision, contributing to maintaining political security and social order in the province. From October 2025 to the end of March 2026, functional agencies detected and prosecuted 615 cases involving 919 defendants, an increase of 83 cases and 141 defendants compared to the same period last year. Of these, drug-related crimes continued to account for a high percentage with 458 cases and 632 defendants; functional forces seized over 25.2 kg of heroin, nearly 113 kg of synthetic drugs, 3 guns, 42 bullets, and many related exhibits; and simultaneously eradicated 842 opium poppy plants.

The two-level Procuracy supervised the investigation of 1,036 cases involving 1,495 defendants; the investigating agency resolved 656 cases, of which 651 cases involving 885 defendants were recommended for prosecution. The arrest and prosecution rate reached 100%, ensuring no wrongful convictions, miscarriages of justice, or crimes went unpunished. In the judicial process, the Procuracy coordinated the organization of 88 trial review sessions, 65 online trials, and presented evidence using images at 110 trials. The leadership of the Procuracy directly participated in 91 trials, exceeding the annual target by 167%. In civil and administrative matters, 1,469 first-instance civil cases and 10 administrative cases were supervised. Digital transformation was prioritized; 100% of criminal case files were digitized, and 280 mind maps were developed to support case resolution. Effectively implement Resolution No. 205/2025/QH15 on protecting vulnerable groups and public interests.

In the last six months of the year, the People's Procuracy of Son La province at both levels will continue to improve the quality of prosecution, investigation supervision, indictment, and trial; focus on combating drug crimes, corruption, and economic crimes; strengthen the application of information technology, tighten discipline and order in public service, and strive to successfully complete the work targets for 2026.

On this occasion, the Party Committee's Inspection Committee and the Inspectorate of the Provincial People's Procuracy signed a cooperation agreement; the Provincial People's Procuracy awarded certificates of merit to one collective and six individuals who won prizes in the online competition to learn about Resolution 205/2025/QH15 of the National Assembly on piloting the People's Procuracy initiating civil lawsuits to protect the civil rights of vulnerable groups or to protect public interests.
