The inspection program aims to evaluate the physical-chemical-biological indicators of the reservoir water, thereby providing recommendations for the management and operation of the reservoir and ensuring the safety of irrigation water for hundreds of thousands of hectares of agricultural land in the provinces of Tay Ninh, Binh Duong , Binh Phuoc and Ho Chi Minh City.
According to a representative of the Institute of Marine Engineering, the inspection was carried out at many different locations around the lake, including points near the discharge gate, areas receiving flow from the Saigon River and lakeside areas with agricultural and aquatic production activities.
Water samples will be analyzed to determine parameters such as pH, turbidity, ammonium, nitrate, heavy metals, microorganisms and organic matter.

The analysis results will be compiled and reported to the Ministry of Agriculture and Environment , and provided to local management agencies to coordinate the implementation of water resource protection measures, ensuring good service for production and daily life.
Testing the water quality of Dau Tieng Lake is part of a strategy to strengthen water environment monitoring at large reservoirs in the context of climate change and increasing pressure from socio-economic development activities.
