After a trekking trip, the Rào Quán hydroelectric lake is the ideal place to relax. The crystal-clear lake reflects the surrounding mountain ranges, creating a beautiful and peaceful scene. "Standing on the paddleboard in the middle of the lake, I felt like I was in another world , both quiet and relaxed, with only the gentle sound of the paddles stirring the water," Minh Quân recalled. Swimming and camping overnight by the lake are also experiences not to be missed.
The cuisine of Western Quang Tri offers delicious, rustic yet unique dishes. "Tép nhảy" (jumping shrimp) is a dish of fresh, live shrimp mixed with salt, chili, and lime juice – a truly challenging taste experience. Grilled snakehead fish with snow salt, its white salt coating preserving the fish's sweetness, is also a must-try.
