Regarding effective use, Dr. Lan Anh noted that sunscreen pills need to have a long enough accumulation time, which means they need to be taken for several months, not just taking 1 pill 2 hours before leaving the house to be effective.
Thus, sunscreen and sunscreen pills work in two different mechanisms and cannot be used interchangeably. Pills only help support and supplement the effects of external sunscreen methods.
The advantage of sunscreen pills is that they are suitable for people who are often exposed to direct sunlight and ultraviolet rays such as athletes, swimmers, people who often work outdoors, people who sweat a lot... because there is no need to reapply sunscreen every 2-3 hours, they do not cause oiliness and clog the skin like creams and are safe for people with sensitive skin.
When using sunscreen pills, you need to follow the dosage as instructed by the manufacturer. Do not increase the dosage on your own because sunscreen pills contain vitamin A. Taking too much of a dose will cause vitamin A poisoning.
